About

God Does Not Work According to Our Plans!
This has been evident in my life for the last 20 years. I had planned on working after I had my son. There were some closed doors, including finding a job. So, I was at home—something I had not planned.
At that time, I was part of a women's bible study at my church. We went through several bible studies together. We went really deep. Through a disruption of my plan, God created time for me to dive deeper into his word.
I couldn't get enough! I would spend hours in the word. My son was a baby and like I said, I had extra time! God developed a love of scripture and a deeper love for Him during this time.
My Journey & Calling
God called me to speak 20 years ago, when my son was a baby. I wasn't sure what that looked like. I kept seeking God and reading his word. I had my daughter and then God called me to do seminars. I was very enthusiastic and lunged forward into speaking. Then, I was exhausted. I realized that I had been doing things in my own strength and I ran away from my purpose.
Then, God called me back to it. I have written devotions for years. I became a lay speaker and preached at church. I have done videos. I have also spoken to groups. God has delayed my plan for years. However, he has been developing me and preparing me throughout this time. I have still been in the word. I have seen my flaws and surrendered them over to God. I have also surrendered over to him every situation, thought, feeling, habit, etc. God has been working things into me and out of me.
The pruning process is a long and painful process. But, such a necessary one!

My Family & Me
I am a counselor, life coach, writer, and a speaker. I am an extrovert and an encourager. I love to connect people and gather people together. I delight greatly in people and hearing their stories. I love stories, in general, which explains a lot of my interests: movies, TV shows, history, genealogy, and photography. I also love theater, music, and karaoke!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Chris. We met in college when we were 18 and 19. We now have 2 kids in college--our son Mason, and our daughter Bailey. We are members at Crosspoint City Church , which is an active and growing church focused on relentlessly pursuing those far from God to help them know and follow Jesus.
Next Steps
I haven't known what is next. But I've had an idea for several years: this website. So, this is a step of obedience in putting all things in one place. God has gifted my husband with the skills of a web developer. God has provided this for me through Chris.
I don't know what is next, but this is my next step of obedience. I'm so thankful to share God's love and His word with you! I am so happy that you have joined me on this journey to grow in your relationship with God!

My Life Verses
As I have been in the word, these passages of scripture really stood out to me. Through the Holy Spirit's leading and guiding, these verses combine together to define what God has called me to do.
Isaiah 61:1-4
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release of darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
4 They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Ephesians 4:12-16
12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things, grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
