God encourages us in this scripture to look to the new thing he is doing in your life. It's interesting that he asks, \"...do you not PERCEIVE it?\" One definition of perceive is to become aware or conscious of (something); come to realize or understand. The synonyms for this definition are to discern or recognize. When you perceive, discern, or recognize, the implication is that you don't see it right away. You have to look hard and think about it. In other words, what you are looking at is not readily available...yet.",[11,18,19],{},"Another definition of perceive is to interpret or look on (someone or something) in a particular way; regard as. The synonyms for this definition are to view, regard, or consider. You see your circumstances before you. Yet, we are encouraged to view, regard, or consider them in a different way.",[11,21,22],{},"A great example of this is Abraham. God told him he would have a son. However, what he could see was that he was old and Sarah was way past her childbearing years. Yet, God told him that he would have a son. So, he believed God—the God, who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17b).
