This means big and small concerns. It mentions prayer and petition. Petition is when we ask God specifically for certain things. Prayer is for everything else. It is talking to God about your day, your fears, your excitement—having a conversation with him. This also includes worship and praise. A final condition is that we bring prayer and petition with thanksgiving. We are to come before God in faith and with thanksgiving—even if our requests are not met the way we would like them to be.
